How Windsor Chiropractic Can Help

My primary aim as a chiropractor in Windsor is to reduce your pain, restore your mobility, and help you return to the activities you enjoy most. When you visit my clinic, I take the time to understand what’s brought you here by having a detailed conversation about your health history, daily habits, and any concerns you may have. With this information, I offer personalised options to guide you on the road to recovery.

Every individual is different, and I believe your care should reflect that. Whether you’re dealing with back pain, neck pain, or other issues, my goal is to support you in taking control of your health journey and empower you with choices that suit your needs.

Why Early Action Matters

If left unchecked, pain can have long lasting effects on your physical and emotional wellbeing. The longer you wait, the harder it can become to recover fully. Early intervention through chiropractic care helps prevent further complications and empowers you to lead a healthier, more active life.

What Kind of Training Does a Chiropractor Have?

To become a chiropractor, extensive education is crucial. I hold a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science (B. Chiro. Sc) and a Master of Chiropractic (M. Chiro). My training includes rigorous coursework in anatomy, physiology, diagnosis and hands on clinical practice

With nearly 15 years of experience, I’ve treated a diverse range of patients, from elite athletes to those with significant mobility challenges. I utilise various techniques, including manual adjustments and gentler methods, ailored to your individual condition, age and preferences.

I’m committed to continuing education, having completed advanced courses on complex conditions related to hip, shoulder, and spinal pain. At Flynn Chiro, I aim to enhance your overall health by collaborating with other healthcare professionals.

I look forward to working with you. You’re in safe hands.

Supporting Active Lifestyles

Whether you’re an athlete, fitness enthusiast, or simply enjoy staying active, chiropractic care can help enhance your performance and prevent injuries. Regular adjustments improve your flexibility, balance, and strength, making it easier for you to stay active and enjoy your favourite activities.

Comprehensive Assessment and Diagnosis

Before beginning any treatment, I perform a thorough assessment to fully understand your condition. This includes a detailed history, physical examination, and if necessary, further diagnostic tests. This process allows me to accurately identify the source of your pain and develop an effective treatment plan that targets the underlying issue, rather than just addressing the symptoms.

By understanding the full picture, I ensure that you receive the most effective care possible, whether you’re dealing with sciatica, lower back pain, neck stiffness, or other musculoskeletal issues.

Restoring Balance and Mobility

Immobile joints in your spine, and elsewhere in your body, can disrupt your regular movement patterns, and limit your body’s ability to function. These problematic areas often lead to pain, stiffness or more significant problems down the line. My goal as a chiropractor is to discover the cause of these issues, empowering you to work towards regaining your body’s natural balance and mobility. Chiropractic adjustments are gentle, specific and effective – designed to restore your body’s movement and health..

Whether it’s your first time seeing a chiropractor or you’ve been receiving care for years, my approach is always safe, supportive, and focused on helping you feel better.

Posture Correction and Ergonomic Advice

Good posture plays a vital role in preventing pain and maintaining overall health. Many people experience back and neck pain due to poor posture, often as a result of prolonged sitting, working at a desk, or improper ergonomics. I provide practical advice on how to improve your posture, both at work and in daily life. This may include adjusting your workspace, sitting and standing techniques, or exercises to strengthen your core muscles.

By addressing postural issues, I help you prevent recurring pain and improve your overall body mechanics, making it easier to move through life without discomfort.

Putting the Care into Health Care

At other clinics you might be seen as just a number, or the Doctor or practitioner barely remembers anything about you. I strive to understand the person before us, not just the condition. Getting to know you and your history, your lifestyle, your family – the real you – helps me give the best treatment and advice possible.

Visiting a healthcare provider shouldn’t feel like a chore. At my clinic, I’ve created a space that is both inviting and comfortable. From the moment you walk in, you’ll notice a calm, modern environment designed to put you at ease. Frequently asked questions

What is a chiropractor?

A chiropractor in Australia is a 5 year university educated primary health care practitioner, registered and regulated by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Other practitioners regulated by AHPRA are doctors, nurses, physios and more.

Firstly, as a primary health care practitioner, you don’t need a referral from your GP or a specialist to see a chiropractor. Chiropractors have extensive training in the diagnosis of neuromusculoskeletal (nerve/muscle/bone/joint) problems and can be your first person to speak to when you have a problem.  Chiropractors can refer for medical imaging like X-rays, ultrasounds or MRIs when required, or refer you to the appropriate practitioner if they feel you’ll be best helped elsewhere.

During a first visit, it’s a lot of talking and testing, and the direction the appointment goes in depends a lot on your current condition and history. Taking a full history is extremely important, and allows your chiropractor to more accurately diagnose your problem. The more useful information you can provide, the more specific and effective your treatment will be. Testing might involve observing your posture and movement, the strength of your joints and muscles, the sensation in your nerves or your reflexes – it all depends on what you’re seeking help for.

Chiropractors, like all health care professionals, have a range of different treatments at their disposal. There’s no one magic pill for every problem. Soft tissues (muscles/tendons/fascia) require different treatments to joints. Some treatments are very gentle, some are a bit more forceful. Some chiropractors use hand held tools to assist, or special areas of their treatment table to provide a drop or extra resistance. Everyone is a bit different.

As for me, I do prefer to use both hands-on adjustments (the joint cracking you might have seen or heard of) and various soft tissue techniques. I have a huge variety of different skills and vast experience. For patients who know what has worked in the past – let me know and I can likely perform something similar. For new patients who are a bit apprehensive or unsure – I’ll always explain everything before I actually do it, and can offer multiple options if something isn’t comfortable.

Generally speaking, the adjustments are NOT painful, the soft tissue can be. I’ll never do anything beyond what you can tolerate, and your consent to treatment is extremely important.

For complex patients, extended consultations may be required. This will be discussed on an individual level.
