Experienced South Yarra Chiropractor for Long-Term Relief
Are you experiencing persistent headaches, neck pain, or back discomfort? These symptoms are often signs that something isn’t quite right with your spine. Spinal misalignments can disrupt how your body functions, leading to ongoing pain and discomfort.
While quick fixes might offer temporary relief, they fail to address the root cause of the problem. As a chiropractor serving South Yarra, I focus on delivering effective care by identifying and resolving the underlying issues.
Through gentle and precise chiropractic adjustments, I work to restore proper spinal alignment and support your long-term health.
Putting the Care into Health Care
At other clinics you might be seen as just a number, or the Doctor or practitioner barely remembers anything about you. I strive to understand the person before us, not just the condition. Getting to know you and your history, your lifestyle, your family – the real you – helps me give the best treatment and advice possible.

Supporting Your Body’s Natural Healing Process
Your body has an incredible ability to heal itself, but this process is often disrupted by misalignments in the spine. These misalignments can create imbalances that affect your nervous system, leading to pain, tension, and reduced mobility. Chiropractic care works to realign the spine, remove interference to your nervous system, and allow your body to function as it should. If you’re looking for a South Yarra chiropractor who provides a holistic approach to care, I’m here to help you get back to living pain-free.

What Kind of Training Does a Chiropractor Have?
To become a chiropractor, extensive education is crucial. I hold a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science (B. Chiro. Sc) and a Master of Chiropractic (M. Chiro). My training includes rigorous coursework in anatomy, physiology, diagnosis and hands on clinical practice
With nearly 15 years of experience, I’ve treated a diverse range of patients, from elite athletes to those with significant mobility challenges. I utilise various techniques, including manual adjustments and gentler methods, ailored to your individual condition, age and preferences.
I’m committed to continuing education, having completed advanced courses on complex conditions related to hip, shoulder, and spinal pain. At Flynn Chiro, I aim to enhance your overall health by collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
I look forward to working with you. You’re in safe hands.
Chiropractic Massage in South Yarra: More Than Relaxation
When searching for a massage in South Yarra, it’s important to understand how a chiropractic massage differs from traditional massage therapy. Rather than focusing solely on relaxation, chiropractic massage is designed to complement spinal adjustments by targeting soft tissue tension and imbalances.
Through soft tissue mobilisation techniques, I aim to address muscle tightness and restrictions that may be contributing to your pain or limiting your mobility. This approach helps support your spine’s alignment, enhances recovery, and promotes lasting relief from symptoms such as back pain, neck tension, and headaches.
Whether you’re dealing with chronic pain or want to improve your overall well-being, chiropractic massage provides a functional and therapeutic benefit tailored to your needs
A Holistic, Patient Centred Approach
Many people in South Yarra seek natural, non-invasive solutions to their health concerns, and chiropractic care is an excellent option. I focus on treating the underlying causes of pain and dysfunction rather than masking the symptoms. Whether you’re dealing with tension headaches, posture-related discomfort, or stiffness in your joints, my approach aims to restore balance to your spine and support your body’s overall healing process. If you’re searching for a chiropractor South Yarra, I offer tailored care to help you achieve better health and long-term relief.

Frequently asked questions
What is a chiropractor?
A chiropractor in Australia is a 5 year university educated primary health care practitioner, registered and regulated by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Other practitioners regulated by AHPRA are doctors, nurses, physios and more.
So, what does this really mean?
Firstly, as a primary health care practitioner, you don’t need a referral from your GP or a specialist to see a chiropractor. Chiropractors have extensive training in the diagnosis of neuromusculoskeletal (nerve/muscle/bone/joint) problems and can be your first person to speak to when you have a problem. Chiropractors can refer for medical imaging like X-rays, ultrasounds or MRIs when required, or refer you to the appropriate practitioner if they feel you’ll be best helped elsewhere.
What does a first visit look like?
During a first visit, it’s a lot of talking and testing, and the direction the appointment goes in depends a lot on your current condition and history. Taking a full history is extremely important, and allows your chiropractor to more accurately diagnose your problem. The more useful information you can provide, the more specific and effective your treatment will be. Testing might involve observing your posture and movement, the strength of your joints and muscles, the sensation in your nerves or your reflexes – it all depends on what you’re seeking help for.
Why are you asking about one area when my problem is elsewhere?
Chiropractors, like all health care professionals, have a range of different treatments at their disposal. There’s no one magic pill for every problem. Soft tissues (muscles/tendons/fascia) require different treatments to joints. Some treatments are very gentle, some are a bit more forceful. Some chiropractors use hand held tools to assist, or special areas of their treatment table to provide a drop or extra resistance. Everyone is a bit different.
As for me, I do prefer to use both hands-on adjustments (the joint cracking you might have seen or heard of) and various soft tissue techniques. I have a huge variety of different skills and vast experience. For patients who know what has worked in the past – let me know and I can likely perform something similar. For new patients who are a bit apprehensive or unsure – I’ll always explain everything before I actually do it, and can offer multiple options if something isn’t comfortable.
Generally speaking, the adjustments are NOT painful, the soft tissue can be. I’ll never do anything beyond what you can tolerate, and your consent to treatment is extremely important.
